Getting Inspired and Staying Inspired

Day 29 of the #FridayWritesBlogChallenge

Today’s Topic: Quotes about Writing

Sometimes our best writing occurs in the simplest places, with the simplest tools, at the simplest moments.

Once we find simplicity in our everyday routines, we unlock our most creative moments.

I used to fight against my urge to write my notes in my notebook then go to the computer and type it onto the screen.

I figured, I’d cut out the middle man and go straight the word-processor. This always led to hours and hours of editing after I had typed the “masterpiece” I envisioned in my head.

When I finally let go of my urge to rush and I started taking time to write out the plot, the characters, and scenes from my stories in my notebook, my work changed. My stories had more depth. I saw moments to highlight my characters personality traits and desires.

Patience and process granted me deeper vision.

Too often we fight ourselves as we pursue our best, take your time and embrace your process for success.
